ITC ACTING CLASSES START WEEK OF JANUARY 4 The Illinois Theatre Center of Park Forest has announced the schedule for the Winter 2010 session of Drama Classes. Under the direction of Etel Billig, a professional actress and director for nearly 50 years, the ITC Drama School’s program integrates all aspects of theatre, providing students at all age and experience levels with a coherent and well-rounded training program. Classes are held at ITC’s theatre in Downtown Park Forest at 371 Artists’ Walk (opposite Village Hall). Tuition is $80 for a ten-week session. Here is the schedule for the Winter session: BASIC ACTING FOR ADULTS (Mondays 7 - 8:30 PM starting Jan. 4) A class for those with no formal training - emphasis on basic technique, making strong choices and communicating to the audience. ADVANCED ADULT ACTING WORKSHOP (Mondays 8:30 - 10 PM starting Jan. 4) For those with previous formal theatre training. Monologues, scene study, and a focus on audition preparation. BASIC ACTING FOR CHILDREN (Mondays 4 – 5:30 PM starting Jan. 4) For ages 6 though 9 – an introduction to acting technique, including movement, voice, diction, and motivation. INTERMEDIATE ACTING WORKSHOP (Wednesdays 4 - 6 PM starting Jan. 6) Especially for students age 10 through 13. Scene study, with an emphasis on oral interpretation TEEN ACTING WORKSHOP (Thursdays 4 - 6 PM starting Jan. 7) Emphasis on character development and audition preparation.
